Alexander Leonidas Dermand and Leonidas Alexander Dermand Endowed Scholarship

Established by Kathryn O. Starbuck to honor the memory of her father, Alexander Leonidas Dermand, and her brother, Leonidas Alexander Dermand, and to promote the education of students in the Blount Scholars Program in the College of Arts and Sciences at The University of Alabama. Priority of consideration is given to students enrolled full-time in the Blount Scholars Program in the College of Arts and Sciences. Selection is based on academic potential and financial need. Among qualified applicants, preference is given to those applicants who are first-generation college students.
