Allen and Marlene Miller Endowed Scholarship Fund

Established by Clay Miller, Keith and Gabriela Miller, Beth and Gary Cooley, with the Covington County Alumni Chapter. Priority of consideration is given to entering freshmen students graduating from Opp High School, or its successor located in Covington County, Alabama, enrolling in the College of Education or the Capstone College of Nursing. If there are no students from Opp High School meeting the above criteria, second priority goes to entering freshmen students graduating from any other high schools located in Covington County, Alabama, who are enrolling in the College of Education or the Capstone College of Nursing. At the discretion of the selection committee, the scholarship may be renewed to the incumbent recipient, for continued undergraduate education, not to exceed a total of four academic years of undergraduate study (eight semesters consisting of fall and spring), provided the incumbent recipient’s academic performance and progress are of such quality as to justify such renewal by maintaining a minimum cumulative 3.0 grade point average based on a 4.0 scale.
