Established by Anna Dorsey Cooke Allison. Priority of consideration is given to students who are enrolled in the School of Library and Information Studies (SLIS) specializing in school librarianship, who graduated from high schools within the state of Alabama, who maintain a 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. and who demonstrate financial need, although not necessarily need as defined by federal guidelines.
