Beatrice and Waymond Totten Endowed Support Fund
Established by Arthur N. Dunning Jr. and Karen Baynes-Dunning to promote the education of deserving full-time students at The University of Alabama and to honor Mrs. Dunning’s grandparents Beatrice and Waymond Totten, who throughout their lives cared for and supported young people in their community. The fund is used to support programs at The University of Alabama that assist graduate and undergraduate students who have experienced foster care as adolescents, as documented by FAFSA data. Uses for the fund may include, but are not limited to, supplemental monetary awards for students, tuition assistance, housing, meals, class materials, wages for program employees, or other program support. If the funds are used for supplemental monetary awards, additional priority of consideration goes to students who show financial need, although not necessarily need as defined by federal guidelines.
