Beal M. Teague Endowed Engineering Scholarship Fund
Established by Mr. Beal M. Teague to promote the education of deserving full-time students in the College of Engineering. Priority is given to full-time freshmen in the College of Engineering from St. Clair County, Alabama, and second consideration is given to full-time freshmen from Alabama. Recipients are selected on the basis of financial need, leadership, and academic achievement. Emphasis is placed on class rank, scores on national standardized achievement tests (ACT or SAT), participation and leadership in student and service organizations and extracurricular activities, supporting letters, and the ability of the student and his/her parents and guardians to provide financial support. The scholarship is renewable for four years as long as the student remains in the College of Engineering, makes satisfactory progress toward a degree (taking at least 12 hours per semester), and maintains a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
