Bernice Strickland Kittrell Endowed Scholarship

Established by Charles J. Kittrell to honor the memory of his mother Bernice Strickland Kittrell. First priority of consideration is given to students from Mobile County, Alabama, enrolled in the Catherine J. Randall Research Scholars Program, the University Honors Program, or the International Honors Program who demonstrate financial need, although not necessarily need as defined by federal guidelines. Other students in the Honors College may be considered only if no students from Mobile County are available to receive the scholarship. Among qualifying students, additional factors for consideration are academic success and degree of involvement in extracurricular activities both in high school and at the University. The scholarship is renewable.
