Browning Endowed Military Scholarship
Established by Philip L. Browning to honor the memory of his mother, Dorothy Spence Browning, and her great-granddaughters, Margaret Browning and Katherine Browning. First priority of consideration is given to United States military veterans who have been honorably discharged or active military members who would qualify to be honorably discharged, and who are enrolled in the School of Social Work. Second priority of consideration is given to spouses or children of honorably discharged veterans. Any application of retired military, spouse or children should include a DD214 form that indicates discharge status. If the student is active military, a letter from their commanding officer stating the applicant currently meets the standards for a honorable discharge should be included with the application.
