Burl S. Watson Scholarship Fund

Established by Cities Service Foundation (presently Occidental Oil and Gas Corporation). Scholarships from this fund are awarded to entering freshmen in the College of Engineering with academic merit and financial need. Preference is given to students enrolled in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mineral Engineering, or Metallurgical Engineering. Priority for the award is given to natives of Alabama and adjoining states. This scholarship is renewable.
