Buford Boone Memorial Endowed Journalism Fund

Established by The Tuscaloosa News to honor the memory of the late Buford Boone. Scholarships from this fund are awarded to deserving students majoring in journalism. Selection is based on scholarship, professional promise, and high standards of leadership in journalism and personal conduct. The scholarship is renewable for each succeeding year of the recipient’s undergraduate education, provided his/her performance and academic progress are of such high quality as to merit renewal.
