Byron Franklin and Ophelia Burks Watson Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Established by Betty Watson Bullock to honor the memory of her parents, Byron Franklin Watson and Ophelia Burks Watson, and to promote the education of deserving full-time students in New College. Priority of consideration is given to a student with a major or minor in environmental studies in New College in the College of Arts and Sciences at The University of Alabama. It is the donor’s intent that this scholarship be a full tuition scholarship and be awarded to a student who has a great interest in “saving the planet.”
