David C. Weaver Endowed Scholarship

Established by Jan S. Weaver to honor the memory of her husband, David C. Weaver, and to promote the education of students studying geography in the College of Arts and Sciences at The University of Alabama. Endowment earnings support students, preferably graduate students, in the Department of Geography who are deemed by the faculty and chair of the department to be academically superior and deserving of such support. Uses of the earnings may include, but not be limited to, supplemental financial awards, equipment and supplies, registration fees for conferences or lectures in the field of geography, and fees and expenses of guest lecturers whose attendance on campus would benefit students.
