David and Elizabeth DeJarnette Endowed Scholarship in Anthropology

Established by Dr. Sarah DeJarnette Caldwell and her husband, James, to honor the memory of her parents, David and Elizabeth DeJarnette. Priority of consideration is given to students who are pursuing a graduate degree in anthropology in the College of Arts and Sciences, and who are conducting archeological research at Moundville Archaeological Park, in Latin America, or in the southeastern United States. Additional priority is given to those who possess a strong work ethic and desire to succeed as evidenced by academic and extra-curricular achievements. The committee may consider financial need, although not necessarily as defined by federal guidelines.
