Dolly and Jim Walker Pre-Med Endowed Scholarship Fund

Established by Dr. James C. Walker Jr. and Darlene S. Walker with the Jefferson County Alumni Chapter. Priority of consideration is given to entering freshmen students graduating from a high school located in Jefferson County, Alabama. Student recipients must be enrolling in and remain enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences on the Pre-Med track. Financial need is a primary factor if information regarding financial need is provided by the applicant or known by the selection committee, but not financial need as defined by federal guidelines. If on the year to select a recipient, there are no students from Jefferson County, Alabama, meeting the above criteria, entering freshmen students graduating from a high school in Shelby County, Alabama, may be considered, provided they meet the criteria above.
