Dorris Vannoy Rising Star Endowed Scholarship in the College of Education

Established by Dr. Mary R. Yates. Recipients are acknowledged by department heads and professors as “Rising Star” students and have intentions of remaining in Alabama after graduating. Priority of consideration is given to graduate students enrolled in the College of Education that graduated from a high school in the state of Alabama. Second priority of consideration is given to graduate students enrolled in the College of Education. Third priority of consideration is given to undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Education who graduated from a high school in Alabama. Fourth priority of consideration is given to undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Education.
