Dr. Esther J. Swenson Elementary and Early Childhood Education Endowed Scholarship

Established by Dr. Esther J. Swenson, professor emerita of the College of Education, and friends. Priority of consideration is given to qualified students who intend to pursue a degree in the areas of elementary and early childhood education in the College of Education at The University of Alabama. This scholarship is available every other year to allow interest to accrue, which enables the College of Education to offer a $1,500.00 scholarship every other year. The Dr. Esther J. Swenson Elementary and Early Childhood Education Endowed Scholarship is awarded in even-numbered years, alternating with the Yewell R. Thompson Memorial Endowed Scholarship.
