Dr. Fred A. Lewis and Frances Pickens Lewis Endowed Scholarship Fund

Established by Frances Pickens Lewis, Fred A. Lewis Jr., Burnise Lewis Gunn, and other family members, friends, and the Department of Mathematics at The University of Alabama. Scholarships from this fund are awarded to deserving full-time junior-level or above students majoring in pure mathematics. Consideration is given to math majors who express a desire to teach pure mathematics, but who are in the College of Arts and Sciences.
