Dr. Hugh H. Stegall Endowed Scholarship in Education

Established by Lee F. Stegall and Nita R. Stegall. Priority of consideration is given to students who graduated from a high school in Sumter County, Alabama, and who demonstrate financial need, although not necessarily need as defined by federal guidelines. Second priority of consideration is given to students who graduated from a high school in the state of Alabama and who demonstrate financial need, although not necessarily need as defined by federal guidelines. The scholarship may be renewable for each of the subsequent years of a recipient’s undergraduate or graduate education provided the scholarship committee deems the recipient’s performance and academic progress satisfactory and provided the recipient remains enrolled in the College of Education.
