Dr. Thomas W. Barkley, Jr. Outstanding BSN to DNP Family Nurse Practitioner Student Scholarship

Established by Dr. Thomas W. Barkley Jr. $2,500 is awarded annually to one recipient. Priority of consideration is given to students who are enrolled in the Capstone College of Nursing and maintain a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale based on all course work in the BSN to DNP program beginning with the first graduate course in the program through NUR 569: Family Practitioner I and NUR 570: Family Nurse Practitioner Clinical I. If there are no candidates that meet the above criteria, priority of consideration is given to students who are enrolled in the Capstone College of Nursing and maintain a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale based on all course work in the MSN program beginning with the first graduate course in the program through NUR 569: Family Practitioner I and NUR 570: Family Nurse Practitioner Clinical I. Among qualified applicants, scholarship recipients will be selected by Capstone College of Nursing faculty based on outstanding clinical achievement and performance.
