Gentry Endowed Piano Scholarship

Established by Thomas Leon Gentry contributed through a trust agreement to promote academic excellence at The University of Alabama. Priority of consideration is given to students enrolled at The University of Alabama who are majoring in piano. It is the trustee’s desire that scholarships be awarded on the basis of merit to exceptional piano students in the School of Music and that financial need, although not necessarily need as defined by federal guidelines, be considered only in determining the amount of the scholarships and that awards may be used for, but not limited to, tuition, books, and other expenses.
