Herky and Peggy Mosley Endowed Scholarship

Established by Joseph H. and Carilyn P. Mosley. The endowment earnings are used to provide scholarships for students at the University. Scholarship awards may be used annually to assist one student with expenses related to attending the University, including, but not limited to, supplementing out-of-state tuition, books, miscellaneous supplies, room, and board. Priority of consideration is given to incoming freshman students who are enrolled in the Culverhouse College of Business and who graduated from a high school in the state of Georgia with a 3.0 to 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Second priority of consideration is given to incoming freshman students who are enrolled in the Culverhouse College of Business and who graduated from a high school in the state of Georgia with a 3.0 or higher grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Third priority of consideration is given to incoming freshman students who are enrolled in the Culverhouse College of Business and graduated from an out-of-state high school with a 3.0 or higher grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Once the above criteria is met, the Donor Representative would prefer the following characteristics be considered in the selection process: students who are children or grandchildren of University of Alabama alumni, who have full or part-time jobs during school, who are involved in high school athletics, or who are involved in other school related extracurricular activities. The scholarship may be renewable for each of the subsequent years of a recipient’s undergraduate education provided the scholarship committee deems the recipient’s performance and academic progress satisfactory and provided the recipient remains enrolled in the Culverhouse College of Business. The Donor Representative desires that this award be used to offset the cost of tuition to out-of-state students.
