Hill Ferguson and Joseph W. Sewell Endowed Scholarship in the College of Arts and Sciences

Established by Mrs. Virginia Ferguson Sewell Jones and her children, Mrs. Louise Sewell Taylor and Mr. W. Hill Sewell, to honor the memory of Hill Ferguson and Joseph “Joe” W. Sewell. Priority for the award is given to full-time in-state students enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences. The recipient will have demonstrated academic achievement by possessing a minimum 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale and be an active member of the student body as evidenced through participation in student life activities at The University of Alabama.
