J. Barry Mason Excellence in Leadership Endowed Scholarship Fund

Established by the Tuscaloosa County Alumni Chapter to honor J. Barry Mason for his many years of service in the Culverhouse College of Business. Criteria is the same as that required for a National Alumni Association Leadership Scholarship. Currently, consideration is given to entering freshmen demonstrating a minimum 24 ACT (or 1090 SAT) with a 3.0 high school grade point average. Further criteria includes extensive leadership activities in high school organizations, community service, volunteerism, and academic honors and achievements. Preference is given to applicants indicating a financial need. Among qualified applicants, priority is restricted to entering freshmen enrolling in the Culverhouse College of Business. The scholarship is not renewable.
