Osher Reentry Scholarship Endowment

Established by The Bernard Osher Foundation. Priority of consideration is given to undergraduate students pursuing their first baccalaureate degree, who have experienced a cumulative gap in their education of five or more years, anticipate participation in the workforce for a significant time after graduation, demonstrate financial need, although not necessarily need as defined by federal guidelines, and demonstrate academic promise and a commitment to obtaining a degree. Returning Osher Reentry Scholars are given preference. No single scholarship should exceed $6,000. In the event of any year the number of domestic applicants at the undergraduate level who have experienced a cumulative gap of five years or more is so small that the aggregate amount awarded will be less than the Minimum Amount to be distributed, then in that year consider applicants who are undergraduate students showing both academic promise and significant financial need.
