R. Bert and Brenda Stacey Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Established by Dr. Richard B. Stacey. First priority of consideration is given to an incoming freshman student who scored at least a 25 on the ACT or 1200 on the SAT or a transfer student with a 3.8 cumulative GPA or a current student with a 3.8 cumulative GPA, majoring in biology, microbiology, marine science, chemistry, mathematics, physics, neuroscience, or in New College, and are on the pre-medical or pre veterinary track, and graduated from a high school in Baldwin County, Alabama or Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Bay, Gulf, Franklin, and Wakulla counties in Florida. Second priority of consideration is given to an incoming freshman student who scored at least a 25 on the ACT or 1200 on the SAT or a transfer student with a 3.8 cumulative GPA or a current student with a 3.8 cumulative GPA, majoring in biology, microbiology, marine science, chemistry, mathematics, physics, neuroscience, or in New College, and are on the pre-medical or pre veterinary track, and graduated from a high school in Leeds, Irondale, Trussville, Mountain Brook, Vestavia, or Homewood cities in Alabama. Third priority of consideration is given to an incoming freshman student who scored at least a 25 on the ACT or 1200 on the SAT or a transfer student with a 3.8 cumulative GPA or a current student with a 3.8 cumulative GPA, majoring in biology, microbiology, marine science, chemistry, mathematics, physics, neurosciences, or in the New College, and are on the pre medical or pre-veterinary track, and graduated from a high school in North Carolina. The scholarship is renewable for each of the subsequent years of a recipient?s undergraduate education provided the recipient continues in the majors listed above and maintains a 3.7 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
