Art and Hasseline Thompson Alumni Endowed Scholarship II

Established by Dr. Art A. Thompson Jr. and the Tuscaloosa County Alumni Chapter. Priority of consideration is given to first generation freshmen graduating from a high school located in Alabama who are enrolling in the Culverhouse College of Business or pursuing a degree in the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields. At the discretion of the selection committee, the scholarship may be renewed to the incumbent recipient for their continued undergraduate education, not to exceed a total of four academic years of undergraduate study (eight semesters consisting of fall and spring), provided the incumbent recipient’s academic performance and progress are of such quality as to justify such renewal by maintaining a minimum cumulative 3.0 grade point average based on a 4.0 scale.
