Marian Accinno Loftin Jefferson County Endowed Scholarship in Education

Established by Pam Parker, Margaret Morton, Shelly Jones, and other friends, in association with the Jefferson County Alumni Chapter. Priority of consideration is given to currently enrolled undergraduate students going into their junior year at UA who graduated from a high school located in Jefferson County, Alabama. Preference is given to those students enrolled in the College of Education majoring in Pre-K-12 through 12 education. The scholarship is automatically renewable for each succeeding year of the recipient’s undergraduate education, not to exceed a total of two academic years of undergraduate study (four semesters consisting of fall and spring), provided the incumbent recipient’s academic performance and progress are of such quality as to justify such renewal by maintaining a minimum cumulative 3.0 grade point average based on a 4.0 scale.
