Richard Colin King Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Established by Brittany King Long and the Shelby County Alumni Chapter. Priority of consideration is given to entering freshmen graduating from a high school located in Shelby County, Alabama. Those students demonstrating outstanding academic achievement along with involvement in community service as noted by strength of their scholarship application resume will be given priority. Preference is given to children or grandchildren of a current or former Blue Cross Blue Shield employee, if known. If there are no students meeting the preferred criteria, the award shall be given to any entering freshman student admitted to UA in good standing.
