Enoch and Ruth Brantley Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund
Established by Anita B. Strider and the Shelby County Alumni Chapter. Priority of consideration is given to entering freshmen students graduating from a high school located in the state of Alabama whose main residence at time of high school graduation is the Big Oak Boys’ Ranch located in Gadsden, Alabama, or the Big Oak Girls’ Ranch located in Springville, Alabama. Among qualifying applicants, those residing at one of the Big Oak Ranches as foster children will have priority of consideration over those residing at the Ranches for other reasons (i.e., natural children of House Parents or other Ranch employees). If both the Big Oak Boys’ Ranch and the Big Oak Girls’ Ranch should cease to exist, then priority consideration shall be given to entering freshmen students graduating from a high school located in Shelby County, Alabama, and then the state of Alabama.
