Klutz-Murfee-Lanier Heritage Scholarship

Established by Dr. Douglas Klutz and Dr. Mark Lanier. Priority of consideration shall be given to full-time undergraduate students who are enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences or enrolled in the ROTC program at The University of Alabama. To be eligible for this award, an applicant must either have a 3.25 overall grade point average on a 4.0 scale as a University student, or a 3.7 high school grade point average on a 4.0 scale as an incoming freshman. Additional preference shall be given to students meeting the above criteria who demonstrate financial need, although not necessarily as defined by federal guidelines; students who have an established military link; and students who have an established family lineage to The University of Alabama or Marion Military Institute. Applicants must submit an essay of 300 words or less describing how they meet the criteria of additional preferences listed above.
