David and Sharon Richardson Young Leader Endowed Scholarship Fund

Established by David G. Richardson and others. Priority of consideration is given to entering freshmen or transfer students graduating or who have graduated from a high school located in the Fort Worth Texas Alumni Chapter area or whose current residence at the time of application is located in the Fort Worth Texas Alumni Chapter area. Preference is given to those students who have attained the ranking of Eagle Scout and have demonstrated leadership in local and community activities outside of school. If there are no students meeting the first priority, second priority of consideration is given to entering freshmen from Alabama, Tennessee and Oklahoma who have attained the ranking of Eagle Scout and have demonstrated leadership in local and community activities outside of school. The scholarship shall be automatically renewable for one succeeding year of the recipient’s undergraduate education, not to exceed a total of two academic years of undergraduate study, provided the incumbent recipient’s academic performance and progress are of such quality as to justify such renewal by maintaining a minimum curriculum 2.5 grade point average based on a 4.0 scale.
