Jim Loop Children's Endowed Scholarship - Undergraduate
Established by Tony D. Walker to establish a scholarship promoting the education of students in the School of Social Work. Endowment earnings are used toward one or more bachelor of social work (BSW) or master of social work (MSW) scholarships to assist in funding practical experiences in the field. The scholarship award shall be alternated between BSW and MSW students each year or be divided equally between the two on an annual basis. Priority of consideration is given to full-time students enrolled in the School of Social Work who are:
- Raised in foster homes or residential care,
- Demonstrate financial need, although not necessarily need as defined by federal guidelines,
- Whose career plans include a strong emphasis on advocacy for children and families, and
- Whose academic records indicate a reasonable probability of future academic and professional success
