George W. Dockery Jr. and Sammie Dockery Endowed C&BA Scholarship

Established by Mr. and Mrs. George W. Dockery Jr. to promote the education of students in the Culverhouse College of Business at The University of Alabama. Recipients are full-time students enrolled in the Culverhouse College of Business. Priority of consideration is given to applicants who are graduates of a high school within Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. Recipients must be of high moral character, must demonstrate leadership tendencies, and must show an interest in entrepreneurship. Recipients shall be selected on the basis of scholarship and of financial need, although not necessarily as defined by federal guidelines. The scholarship will be renewable for each of the subsequent years of the recipient’ education, provided the scholarship committee deems the recipient’s performance and academic progress to merit retention, the recipient remains enrolled full-time in the Culverhouse College of Business and the recipient maintains a 2.5 or higher grade point average each semester.
