Tate Jordan Thomas and Mary Banks Strickland Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Established by Cathy S. and Russell L. Thomas to honor the memory of Tate Jordan Thomas and Mary Banks Strickland. Priority of consideration is given to students from the state of Alabama who are pursuing University of Alabama degrees facilitated by the Office of Teaching Innovation and Digital Education, possess a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, and demonstrate financial need, although not necessarily need as defined by federal guidelines. It is the donors’ intent that the earnings support disadvantaged students from families with low to moderate income.
