McDonough-Anderson Endowed Music Educator Scholarship

Established by Kathleen M. Anderson. The Donor Representative was a member of the Million Dollar Band at the University. To the extent allowed by law, the scholarship shall be awarded based on the following criteria:

First Priority of Consideration:

• Junior or senior students
• Enrolled in the School of Music in the Barefield College of Arts and Sciences
• Majoring in music education
• Hs been a member of the Million Dollar Band for at least one year with the alto saxophone as their primary instrument
• Graduated from a high school in the state of Alabama
• Intends to become a band director (essay required)

Second Priority of Consideration:

• Junior or senior students
• Enrolled in the School of Music in the Barefield College of Arts and Sciences
• Majoring in music education
• Hs been a member of the Million Dollar Band for at least one year
• Graduated from a high school in the state of Alabama
• Intends to become a band director (essay required)
