J. Philip Norton Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund

Established by Susan J. Norton in association with the Jefferson County Alumni Chapter. Priority of consideration is given to entering freshmen graduating from Shades Valley High School in Jefferson County, Alabama. Further criteria requires that the recipient must have achieved a minimum 3.2 grade point average in his/her high school studies at the time of application. If the selection committee deems there are no qualified applicants from Shades Valley High School in Jefferson County, Alabama, then second priority is given to entering freshmen from any high school in Jefferson County, Alabama achieving the required minimum 3.2 high school GPA.
