Cynthia Szymanski Sunal Endowed Elementary Education Scholarship

Established by Dr. Cynthia S. Sunal. Priority of consideration is given to junior or senior undergraduate students who are enrolled in the College of Education, graduated from a high school in Alabama, have completed the teacher education program entrance application requirements, are majoring in early childhood education or elementary education within the curriculum and instruction program and have maintained at least a 3.25 grade point average or better on a 4.0 scale. Renewal of the scholarship requires acceptance into the Teacher Education Program. No student should receive this scholarship more than two years.
