Dennis Sunal Endowed Secondary Science Education Scholarship

Established by Dr. Dennis W. Sunal. Priority of consideration is given to junior or senior undergraduate students who are enrolled in the College of Education, graduated from a high school in Alabama, are majoring in science secondary education within the curriculum and instruction program, demonstrate financial need, although not necessarily need as defined by federal guidelines, have maintained a 3.0 or higher grade point average on a 4.0 scale, and have the highest grade point average among those candidates. Renewal of the scholarship requires acceptance into the Teacher Education Program. No student should receive this scholarship more than two years.
