Mary and John Turner Endowed Kappa Delta Scholarship

Established by John M. Turner Jr. and Mary S. Turner. To the extent permitted by law, priority of consideration is given to a rising junior level student who is a member of Kappa Delta that has expressed a financial need, although not necessarily need as defined by federal guidelines, and meets the required grade point average established by Kappa Delta to be in good standing and have demonstrated a strong commitment to the sorority. Among qualified applicants, the deciding factor shall be financial need, although not necessarily need as defined by federal guidelines. A scholarship of $5,000 should be awarded to a rising junior each year, with the intention she receive another $5,000 scholarship her senior year, as long as she is still in good standing with Kappa Delta. Recipients shall be selected in accordance with the procedures developed in compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and the regulations promulgated thereunder.
