Robert "Riley" McAlpine Smith Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Established by family and friends of the late Robert “Riley” McAlpine Smith. Priority of consideration is given to talented and spirited percussion section members of the Million Dollar Band who continuously strive to improve their musical performance skills; encourage excellence in musical performance among members of the percussion section; and demonstrate an outstanding work ethic and leadership capabilities during both practices and performances. It is the wish of the donors that scholarships be awarded to students who demonstrate their enthusiasm and love for the Million Dollar Band by exemplifying these characteristics, as did Mr. Smith.
