Steven V. Mitchell Memorial Endowed Scholarships

Established by W. Gowen Mitchell to honor the memory of his son, Steven V. Mitchell. The award is made to an entering freshman from the state of Alabama for his/her first academic year. Priority of consideration will be given to students graduating from a high school in Madison County, Alabama. Second consideration will be given to students having graduated from a high school in the contiguous Alabama counties of Jackson, Limestone, Marshall, and Morgan, in no order of priority for the award. Financial need is the primary consideration among qualified applicants. The awards are renewable provided that financial need and academic progress continue.
