Chevron Veteran and Military Affairs Engineering Scholarship
Established by Chevron Corporation. Scholarships are awarded to full-time students who possess a minimum 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale, are pursuing a degree beneficial to Chevron business, have demonstrated knowledge and interest in Chevron and the energy industry, and have at least one noteworthy achievement or recognition such as making the Dean’s List. Applicants who will need sponsorship to work in the United States must be pursuing a PhD. Students from sanction countries may be considered for awards on a case-by-case basis, and must be reviewed by Chevron prior to the selection. Freshman and sophomore applicants must have at least one membership in a technical society or extra-curricular activity and at least one energy related internship or non-technical work experience preferred but not required. Junior applicants must have at least one leadership role in a technical society or extra-curricular activity and at least one technical internship related to their field of study. Senior applicants must have at least one leadership role in a technical society or extra-curricular activity and at least one energy related internship related to their field of study. Graduating seniors must not have committed to an offer of employment with a company other than Chevron Corporation. It is preferred that Master’s degree and PhD-seeking applicants must have at least one technical internship related to their field of study. Their thesis or dissertation must be on a topic related to the energy industry.
