Lecil Norman Smith and Susan Elise Smith Kraft Endowed Scholarship
Established by Susan E. Kraft and Randy F. Kraft. First priority of consideration is given to students who graduated from a Cullman City or Cullman County high school in Alabama, are enrolled in the College of Education and demonstrate financial need, although not necessarily need as defined by federal guidelines. Second priority of consideration is given to students who graduated from a high school in Winston or Blount counties in Alabama, are enrolled in the College of Education and demonstrate financial need, although not necessarily need as defined by federal guidelines. Third priority of consideration is given to students who graduated from any high school in Alabama, are enrolled in the College of Education and demonstrate financial need, although not necessarily need as defined by federal guidelines. The Donor Representative desires that applicants be well-rounded as demonstrated by their involvement in on- and off-campus extracurricular activities, and provide recommendations from teachers, school and community leaders, and/or past employers. The Donor Representative also desires if no qualifying application is received during an academic year, the scholarship is to be awarded at the discretion of the Dean.
