John Y. Christopher, Jr. Endowed Scholarship Fund

Established by John Y. Christopher in association with the Choctaw County Alumni Chapter. The scholarship is awarded to a “qualified applicant” who is an entering freshman, a transfer student, or a full-time undergraduate, and is restricted to a minimum 2.0 grade point average based on a 4.0 scale. “Qualified applicant” is defined as either: 1) a person who graduated from or attended school in Choctaw County, Alabama, 2) a person who graduated from a secondary school outside of Choctaw County, Alabama, but aforementioned person was a legal resident of Choctaw County, Alabama, prior to and during graduation, or 3) a person whose parent, grandparent or guardian is a person who graduated from a secondary school in Choctaw County, Alabama, and The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
