Charlie Kirk Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Established by Gerald H. Allen in association with the Tuscaloosa County Alumni Chapter. Priority of consideration is given to full-time entering freshman or current undergraduate students who graduated from a high school in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, who exhibit leadership, strong moral character, civic engagement or public service as demonstrated by their involvement in on- and off-campus extracurricular activities related to their major, and are eligible for Federal Pell grants or who otherwise demonstrate financial need as determined by federal aid guidelines; specifically, a Student Aid Index that calculates to financial need of 50% or more of the student’s total cost of attendance. The scholarship may be renewable for each of the subsequent years of a recipient’s undergraduate education if there are no new applicants who meet the qualifications, provided the scholarship committee deems the recipient’s performance and academic progress satisfactory and provided the recipient remains enrolled in the University. An essay is required for applicant consideration.
