Jason and Kim Parsons Endowed Black Belt Scholarship

Established by Jason T. Parsons. Priority of consideration is given to students in good academic standing who are enrolled in the College of Human Environmental Sciences, are majoring in consumer sciences, graduated from a county located in the Alabama Black Belt (Barbour, Bullock, Butler, Choctaw, Crenshaw, Dallas, Greene, Hale, Lowndes, Macon, Montgomery, Perry, Pike, Russell, Sumter or Wilcox), and demonstrate financial need, although not necessarily need as defined by federal guidelines. Second priority of consideration is given to students in good academic standing who are enrolled in the College of Human Environmental Sciences, graduated from a county located in the Alabama Black Belt and demonstrate financial need, although not necessarily need as defined by federal guidelines. The Donor Representative desires that only one student receive this scholarship during an academic year.
