John D. Boles and Albert Watkins Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund

Established by Mr. John Duffy Boles, Jr., Mrs. Lee Watkins Boles, and Mr. and Mrs. Peyton Powell in association with the Madison County Alumni Chapter to honor the memory of their respective fathers. Priority of consideration is given to entering freshmen graduating from Huntsville High School, or any future successor high school if applicable, located in Huntsville, Alabama. Second priority is given to entering freshmen from any other high school in Madison County, Alabama. The award may be renewed for each succeeding year of the recipient’s undergraduate education, not to exceed a total of four academic years of undergraduate study (eight semesters consisting of fall and spring), provided the incumbent recipient’s academic performance and progress are of such quality as to justify such renewal by maintaining a minimum cumulative 3.0 UA grade point average based on a 4.0 scale.
