Jean Alexander Coffee Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Established by Mr. Richard E. Coffee III through the Jefferson County Alumni Chapter to promote the education of deserving undergraduate students who enroll full-time at The University of Alabama. Priority of consideration is given to entering freshmen students from Mountain Brook High School in Mountain Brook, Alabama. If available earnings are greater than an amount equal to in-state tuition, then first priority for the excess earnings goes to a current full-time undergraduate student seeking assistance with a UA study abroad program and whose county of origin is Jefferson County. Second priority for the excess earnings, if $1,000 or greater, goes to a second entering freshman student from any high school located in Jefferson County. If excess earnings are less than $1,000, then they are pooled with other earnings from Jefferson County Chapter scholarship endowments and used in the regular awarding process.
