Septima Cecelia Smith Endowed Support Fund

Established by faculty members of the Department of Biological Sciences to honor the memory of Dr. Septima Cecilia Smith and to promote the education of students in the Department of Biological Sciences. Uses for the endowment earnings may include, but are not limited to, small grants to support student travel and research, and merit cash awards to outstanding undergraduate students majoring in biological sciences. Merit cash awards are based on academic achievement with priority of consideration given to graduating seniors who will be receiving the Bachelor of Science in biology, marine science, or microbiology.
