Established by Robert and Dorothy Pieroni. Priority of consideration is given to third- and fourth-year medical students enrolled in The University of Alabama School of Medicine – Tuscaloosa Campus. Selection is based on merit and on financial need, although not necessarily need as defined by federal guidelines.
